On Tuesday I went to a hour long body strength class with barbells. I have never used a barbell before in my life, hand free weights is something I have avoided, and tend to just use the weight lifting machine. But Briana really wanted me to go so I did. Barbell part wasn't tricky, but the squats, lunges, pushups, sit ups with barbells made it difficult! It was a great workout that worked every muscle group in my body, and I can so feel it in my legs when I walk up and down stairs.
Last night I went to my parents clubhouse where they have a few standard cardio and weight machines. It was pretty boring, and OLD machines, but I got an hour in of cardio. I definitely need to look for a gym that has classes to attend. I miss my water aerobics!

A Breath of Fresh Air
I feel like I have a new freedom, a freedom to go to a church where no one knows me, no one will judge me, and worship wholeheartedly. This morning I went to my parent's church, and it just amazed me the breath of fresh air I felt during the service. Something that didn't happen in Moberly where I felt stuck at a dying church. But here, it felt alive and fresh. It was fabulous. I know this might not be the church for me, since it's a good 30 minutes away, and they have a satellite church closer to the house that my brother and sister in law goes to. But just knowing that I have a whole open book of churches to explore and grow in is a fabulous feeling, even if I have to get up early in the morning to do so!

New Beginning
Well I am finally here. Geanya and I left Wednesday morning and started our trip East. We stopped in Cincinnati and spent Thursday with Roxie and the fabulous brothers. It was a fabulous time of relaxing and shopping. Yesterday we drove onward and went to Brandy's where we got to admire her engagement ring, played in a park, ate a Gyro and had yummy frozen yogurt. I got to see Liberty University, and wow it's huge! We went ahead and drove the 3 remaining hours to my parents. It was a great trip, great people, but I am glad we are finally here. Now off to explore Washington DC!

One Week
One week from today and I will be on the road heading east. I am so ready for this week to be over. It has been a very stressful week with Steve's family staying with us out of the blue. We have been on a cleaning frenzy, plus having company has been a little too much to handle with work on top of it. With the stress level I am just thankful that Steve and I haven't snapped yet. I am so in need of a vacation, hopefully a week from now a road trip is just what I am in need of and don't have too many problems while on the road.
Here is the itinerary for the next week: today and tomorrow work, Friday I have off and I will hit the gym up then tackle the cleaning of the laundry room and finishing the kitchen. After Friday I have my last 4 day stretch of working. Saturday morning we are moving Steve to COMO, Sunday morning my mom and aunt are coming for lunch/walmart, Monday morning I am moving all of my stuff out of my room and vaccuming and shutting the door, Tuesday morning Cady is getting groomed, last minute cleaning and last day of work and then Wednesday morning hitting the road.
As for the road trip, Geanya is driving out with me. We are going to Ohio and staying with Roxie and her family for a day or so, then Thursday afternoon of Friday morning heading to Brandy's place to see her engagement ring! and Friday night late or Saturday morning heading to my parents place. Amy and Emily will be driving up to see us and we will be touring DC since Geanya or Amy has never seen it. That's our tenative schedule, we will see how well we stick to it!

5 pounds
5 pounds is all I have to go before I am at the 1/3 mark of my goal of loosing 150 lbs. Yes I have to loose that much, but it's not overwhelming. My goal was to reach the 1/3 mark by moving day. It seems like this 5 pounds is going to give me a fight to the end. My whole week has been messed up with the ice and snow storm and the gym being closed. And it seems like as moving day comes closer and closer I am getting more and more busy. Sure I am off this weekend, but this is my only weekend off for a total of 3 days off before moving day, so life it very busy, and this whole weekend is spent cleaning from roof to floor. But I am bound and determined to loose there last 5 lbs to make it to 50 lbs gone for good. 12 days from right now I have the walk through with the landlord and hitting the road.

Furniture
Yay I sold the last piece of furniture today. All I have left is a glider and 2 bar stools that a coworker is taking. 2 weeks from yesterday Steve will be moving to Columbia. Things are quickly coming together. I only have 4 days off of work left, so 4 days worth of major cleaning and packing the car and getting last minute things done. Oh me oh my it will be here before you know it!

3 weeks
3 weeks from today I hit the road and head East. The most exciting news is that Geanya is taking a week off of work and driving with me for a much needed road trip and mini vaca. I am so happy to have someone willing to drive out there with me. She is a fabulous car buddy as we have been on plenty of road trips in the past. We just made plans yesterday to meet up with Amy and her daughter Emily. All 3 of us went to nursing school together, but Amy moved away after nursing school due to her husbands military transfer. She will only be 5 hours from me, and we are so excited to know we get to see her at the end of our long drive and all 3 of us explore DC together. I am hoping that Caitlin has time off so join us in the DC exploration. As plans are coming together for the big move, I am dreading cleaning. I find myself going to the gym more so I can avoid it. It's like the last major thing I got to do here and I keep procrastinating saying "oh I have plenty of time". But in reality I have 4 days off before we leave, that's not alot of time...so tonight's job is to take the nails off the wall haha talk about starting small! I have sold all the furniture except the couch. I guess it's time to lower it's price on craigslist...
